I'm selling a house to bet on myself (again)

Hi Reader,

I have news.

I'm selling a house to spend $140,000 to grow my business this year.
Last time I bet big, I lost everything. The target is a $500k run rate.

I know. It's a lot of 0's.

This is the biggest single investment I've ever made in myself.

I'm terrified.
And excited.

But here's the story:

(If you're following close enough, you can put together the pieces on your own.So I may as well spill the beans.)

Last year's gross was just about $250k.
Most of it wasn't recurring.
Much of it was fractional CMO work.

Making good money, but...
Something was missing.
It wasn't scalable.
It wasn't productized.

The last three years have been so hard:
Shutting down the venture studio.
Going through a dark night of the soul.
Wrestling with identity.

Letting go of being an entrepreneur.
Applying for jobs (546 of them)
Interviewing and being passed up over and over
(👋 Google, Meta, Reddit, Vimeo, GoFundMe etc. 😘)

Feeling like a square peg in a round hole.
Embracing entrepreneurship again.
Building a fractional CMO practice.
Launching a stealth AI consultancy.

So much hard in a short amount of time.

But now I see it clearly:
2024 was for rebuilding the foundation.
2025 is for launching the next phase.

I'm helping creators and small teams harness AI's power.

But I can't get there alone.

I'm working with the best team in the business to suit up, scale up, and hit the gas pedal.

Over the next 6 months, we're turning my scrappy-but-profitable business into something bigger:

• Clear ICP
• Solid product ladder
• Real, sustainable systems
• $40k+ monthly recurring revenue

Is it a big bet? Yes.
Am I scared out of my skin? Also yes.
Do I have the skills and know this is the right team?

Absolutely yes! 🚀

I'll be sharing the journey - the wins, the failures, all of it.

Because this is what we were born to do:

To dream bigger.
To venture into the unknown.
To rise and fall and rise again.
To stand at the edge and take a leap.
To risk for the what we want to create.
To release the past to embrace the future.

We trust ourselves.
We share what we learn.
We grow together.

And here's why it matters, and why I'm sharing this with you:

When you give yourself the permission to become who you want to be,
and do the things that terrify you,
it gives others permission to do the same.

So here's to the next chapter.
Here's to the sacred act of betting on yourself.

It's the most human thing you can do.
I hope you go and do likewise.🖤

How about you?

Hi Reader, Everyone’s talking about “AI agents” right now. But most people are confused about where automation stops and agents begin. Here’s the truth: they’re not as distinct as the charts make them seem. Automation: If this happens, do that. Boolean logic. Predefined rules. Fast, reliable, but rigid. AI automation: Same structure, but now you’re calling an LLM for one or more steps. Still deterministic overall, but with flexibility where you need it. AI agent: Non-deterministic. Adaptive....

Hi Reader, Save this (you’ll use it weekly). The right prompt is like magic. It gets you dependable results every time. It takes the frustration out of the creation process. It’s the foundation of a rock solid and repeatable workflow. But here’s the thing: A prompt needs to be custom to your task. So most copy-and-paste prompts aren’t valuable. Instead, you need to learn the Meta Prompt™. What it is: AI knows how to use AI better than people. Meta Prompting is using AI to create your prompt...

Hi Reader, ChatGPT has a hidden unlock that most people don’t know about. It’s called Project memory control. And it solves one of the biggest frustrations with using AI for multiple things: the messy, tangled memory that bleeds into everything. The Problem with a Shared Brain Memory is nice. It gives AI context so you don’t have to repeat yourself. But it’s messy. It remembers that one-off search you did for a gift and thinks it’s your new career path. It mixes the feedback from a client...
